Description
If you are adding permanently-attached equipment in excess of 1.5 percent times the gross vehicle weight rating or 100 pounds (whichever is less) to a vehicle — and not changing tires or wheels — the existing load-carrying capacity of the vehicle placard must be updated. The load-carrying capacity modification label must be applied within 25 millimeters (approximately 1 inch) of the existing vehicle placard.
A roll of modification labels enables bulk printing. Using the roll for a continuous label feed requires a thermal transfer printer with resolution of 203 dots per inch and resin ribbon (available separately on Shop WorkTruckCert). Certain industrial printers meet these specifications (such as the ZT200 series, ZT400 series, ZT510, and ZT600 series).
