Description
Vehicle placards are used by companies that alter (alterations/modifications to a completed vehicle) or complete (incomplete vehicles in the final stage) vehicles rated at 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight or less. Placards meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 requirements that all vehicles — excluding motorcycles — altered or modified after Sept. 1, 2005 have a placard on the driver’s side B-pillar. Labels are perforated and include clear covers.
A roll of placard labels enables bulk printing. Using the roll for a continuous label feed requires a thermal transfer printer with resolution of 203 dots per inch and resin ribbon (available separately on Shop WorkTruckCert). Certain industrial printers meet these specifications (such as the ZT200 series, ZT400 series, ZT510, and ZT600 series).
